The project is 4 storey 48unit affordable housing for seniors which as an addition to the existing Seton Villa campus which includes a park-like garden area, a Samuel Maclure designed historic mansion with stone landscape features and the existing Seton Villa seniors residence tower. The new building will allow the residents of the tower to transition into fully accessible residence. The new amenity Garden Plaza building will be a new destination within the campus for residents to go enjoy a coffee, a meal with a friend, while looking out at stunning views to the gardens and the northshore mountain or get their hair done, and take part in activities. The forecourt plaza and new accessible walkways will stitch together all elements of the site to bring a sense of cohesiveness to the campus and allow easy access though-out the site for residents. The street visibility of the active outdoor spaces and new Garden Plaza, will create an inviting space that will make a nice connection with the neighbours and to the surrounding community.
